Michelle Currie
Director, Medical Affairs

Michelle Currie is Director of Medical Affairs at Veristat Inc., and is primarily responsible for medical writing functions. Prior to joining Veristat Inc., in 1998, Ms. Currie served as Manager of Medical Writing at Idenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., formerly Novirio Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company. At Idenix, Ms. Currie started the medical writing function, including development of standard procedures and templates for clinical study documents, and prepared and assisted with the filing of pre-INDs and INDs for an antiviral agent. Ms. Currie began her career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1992 at PAREXEL International Corporation, a contract research organization. At PAREXEL, Ms. Currie held positions of increasing responsibility in the Medical Writing Services group. Ms. Currie assisted with the writing, review, and compilation of 2 successful NDAs. In addition, she prepared numerous clinical documents in a variety of indications, primarily human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Prior to joining industry, Ms. Currie worked in human services. Ms. Currie holds a BA in psychology from William Smith College.
