Principal Statistical Programmer

James Nigrelli is a Principal Statistical Programmer. Mr. Nigrelli has extensive SAS programming experience in PC, VAX, and mainframe environments. Previously, Mr. Nigrelli was the Manager of Application Engineering at Phase Forward Incorporated. At Phase Forward, he was responsible for the development, testing, and system integration of a proprietary, web-based clinical study electronic data capture (EDC) application (Inform™). Before moving to Phase Forward, Mr. Nigrelli worked as an independent consultant for several years, providing programming and database support to local companies and independent statistical consultants. Prior to that, Mr. Nigrelli served as a Senior Statistical Programmer at Alkermes, Incorporated. At Alkermes, Mr. Nigrelli performed statistical programming activities for phase I and II drug delivery studies and developed and maintained a safety database for all clinical studies conducted by the company. Mr. Nigrelli began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1992 at PAREXEL International Corporation, where he served as a Senior Statistical Programmer. In his role at PAREXEL, Mr. Nigrelli served as the lead programmer for 2 large, multi-study programs, 1 leading to a successful NDA submission. Mr. Nigrelli holds an MS in Applied Statistics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a BS in Engineering Management from the University of Vermont.
